Job summary

Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. (JEI) is seeking a Buffet Food Runner for the J Resort in Reno. The role supports the buffet area, keeps surfaces clean, and ensures quality of served products in a fast-paced hotel-casino environment.

Responsibilities include constant liaison with line cooks, relaying product needs, and assisting chefs and dishwashers as required. High school diploma and basic English proficiency are required, with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• Must have an understanding of English.
• Must have working knowledge of the food service industry.
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience; ability to identify identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Keep all surfaces and floors free of food and debris.
• Maintain constant communication with the line cooks.
• Communicate what product they need periodically throughout the day.
• Keep a par of certain products for the buffet.
• Clean areas throughout the kitchen as needed.
• Assist Sous Chefs or Lead Cooks as needed.
• Assist dishwashers when needed.
• Ensure quality of product being served.
