Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. (JEI) seeks a Restaurant Host for Hanna’s Table at the J Resort in Reno. This part-time position involves greeting guests, coordinating seating, and maintaining an inviting dining area. The role supports guest satisfaction in a full-service hotel-casino environment.

Responsibilities include opening duties, managing reservations, menu knowledge, and collaboration with servers and managers to ensure smooth service and a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• Identification establishing identity.
• Documentation proving the right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Opens the restaurant at the prescribed time and ensures the reception area is ready for guests to enter.
• Inspect menus to ensure their condition and cleanliness.
• Review reservations and set up the restaurant for efficient seating.
• Seat guests courteously and handle any special needs.
• Manage waiting lists during high volume and set guest expectations.
• Maintain clean workspaces and materials.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Assign servers to sections and manage reservations with Managers.
• Be knowledgeable of menu items, ingredients and preparation.
• Assist customers with questions about casino activities for that day.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive customer service.
• Answer phone inquiries and take messages as needed.
