Job summary

Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. (JEI) is seeking a Busser for Hanna’s Table at the J Resort in Reno, a premier hotel-casino with over 500 rooms and vibrant gaming options.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a guest-first mindset, assist servers with table maintenance and beverage service, and maintain cleanliness and safety while following appearance standards. A High School Diploma or equivalent and work authorization are required.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience.
• Identification that establishes identity.
• Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a guest-first mindset by placing a high priority on the guest experience.
• Assist servers with table maintenance, clearing, marking, and beverage service.
• Clear and wipe down tables, chairs, booths, ensuring floor is clear of debris after each guest departs.
• Reset tables for next guest according to department standards.
• Maintain general cleanliness of the work area.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Demonstrate a guest-first mindset by placing a high priority on the guest experience
• Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly
• Adhere to all property appearance and uniform standards
• Maintain an open line of vertical and horizontal communication with staff and Management
• Assist servers with table maintenance, clearing, marking, and beverage service
• Clear and wipe down tables, chairs, booths, ensuring floor is clear of debris after each guest departs
• Reset tables for next guest according to department standards.
• Empties trash, collects and turns in linens
• Perform all opening, side work, and closing duties
• Maintains general cleanliness of the work area
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items, including ingredients and preparation
