Job summary

Monarch Casino Resort Spa is seeking a Buffet Busser to prep dining areas, reset tables, and assist the team in a fast-paced environment. The role is full-time and pays $16.00 per hour plus tips, with shifts that include weekends and holidays.

You will support wait staff, maintain cleanliness, and help ensure guest satisfaction. Candidates should be able to stand for long periods, read instructions, and handle light lifting up to 45 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to read and understand written information and instructions.
• Must be able to push and pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepares dining room for guests by cleaning and setting tables and decorating.
• Protects establishment and guests by following sanitation and safety policies.
• Maintains table settings by clearing courses and replenishing utensils and water.
• Supports wait staff by replenishing condiment stands and bussing stations.
• Assists as a back-up—seating guests, operating registers, and answering phones.
• Closes dining facility by cleaning and tidying; takes out trash and recyclables.
• Contributes to overall department success by taking on new tasks and adding value.
• Informs management of guests’ concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepares dining room for guests by cleaning and clothing tables; setting decorations, condiments, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
• Protects establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
• Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
• Supports wait staff by setting up and replenishing condiment stands, trash container liners, and bus stations.
• Supports staff by serving as a back-up – seating guests, operating registers and answering phones.
• Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility.
• Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Informs management of guests’ concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a high-volume, sometimes loud, ever-changing environment.
• Excellent guest service, communication, listening, presentation, and people skills.
• Ability to speak, write, and understand English.
• Ability to read and understand written information and instructions.
• Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and continuously use hands.
• Ability to push and pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, when needed.
