Position Summary

The Buffet Attendant will provide exceptional hospitality for guests in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This role pays an hourly wage of $12.00 to $14.00.

About the Venue

Home of the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds baseball team, AutoZone Park serves as a year-round venue for various events, located in Downtown Memphis.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand Banquet Event Orders.
• Provide fine dining level food and beverage service to guests for all events, consistent with OVG standards.
• Maintain friendly and professional contact with guests, ensuring needs are anticipated and met.
• Set up and maintain food and beverage stations throughout the venue, adhering to OVG standards.
• Inventory management for food and beverage stations.
• Keep event areas and front-of-house staging areas tidy and organized.
• Participate in setup and cleanup of service items.
• Work independently during slower times.
• Promote a safe and clean work environment.
• Engage with staff and patrons positively and professionally.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness in work tasks.
• Multi-task effectively.
• Handle and move objects safely.
• Maintain a customer-focused, positive attitude.
• Communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing.
• Apply basic arithmetic skills.
• Stand for extended periods.
• Bend, stretch, reach as needed.
• Lifting, pushing, pulling objects up to 30 lbs., often 15 lbs.
• Be punctual with consistent attendance.
• Respond appropriately to customer inquiries and complaints.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent GED preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least one year of experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred.
