Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field required.
• Five (5) years experience in budget/accounting techniques required; and
• Three (3) years experience in a supervisory or management role required.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes expenditures to ensure proper use of funds and assignment of expenditures to the appropriate accounts.
• Plans and participates in budget preparation and analysis. Assists administrative personnel in the preparation of departmental budget estimates and compiles information needed to justify budget requests.
• Develops methods, forms and procedures for effective budget formulation and management analysis.
• Confers with administrative and professional personnel on budget matters.
• Manages the maintenance of position allocations and budget information in the Human Resources system.
• Reviews appropriate transfers between accounts and programs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.
