Job summary

Wake Forest University is seeking a Budget Analyst reporting to the Director to provide administrative support for the Office of Budget and Financial Planning. The role includes day-to-day budget and planning activities, reviewing funds availability, data/trend and variance analysis, and supporting the campus community.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 3–5 years of related experience; strong Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and communication skills;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of related and progressively responsible financial work or equivalent.
• Intermediate Excel and Google Sheets with pivot tables, lookups, and sum functions.
• Ability to present analysis results in PowerPoint and Excel graphs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Validate budget availability for Adaptive transactions.
• Assist on financial projects and analyses for senior management.
• Serve as SME on Budget and Financial Planning processes and Adaptive.
• Prepare, develop, test, and train for Workday and Adaptive cycles.
• Support campus partners in budgets and forecasts in Adaptive.
• Conduct research and benchmarking analyses for presentations.
