Job summary

Wake Forest University is seeking a Budget Analyst to support the Office of Budget and Financial Planning with day-to-day budget and planning activities. You will review funds availability, analyze data/trends, and provide support to the campus community.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 3–5 years of related experience, expertise in Excel/Google Sheets, and the ability to communicate findings via PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with 3–5 years of related and progressively more responsible financial work.
• Experience in budgeting, strategic planning, and other fiscal responsibilities in an academic environment.
• Intermediate level in Excel and Google Sheets (i.e., templates, pivot tables, lookups, sum functions) and ability to meet ad hoc data needs.
• Ability to present analysis results in PowerPoint and Excel graphs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Validate budget availability for Adaptive transactions and support upgrades.
• Assist with financial analyses for senior management and campus partners.
• Subject Matter Expert on Budget and Financial Planning processes and Adaptive.
• Develop, test, and train for Workday and Adaptive budgeting cycles.
• Provide training on budgets and forecasts in Adaptive to campus partners.
• Conduct benchmarking research and prepare presentations for leadership meetings.
• Create and present executive-level and departmental analyses.
