Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Morganton, NC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber to trim and remove trees, operate and service tools, and maintain clear, safe work sites. The role is full-time and non-exempt with competitive hourly pay.

Qualified candidates should be able to climb and work from ladders, pass pre-employment screening, and contribute to crew safety. Previous experience helps, but entry-level applicants are considered; driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders at various heights.
• Pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent further growth.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush & debris into a woodchipper.
• Repairs minor job-related damage to lawns, fences, and walkways.
• Relays hand signals, directs traffic, drives, and operates trucks and equipment.
