Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Mount Airy, NC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber to join our line-clearing team. You will trim and remove trees and branches, climb safely, and operate trucks and woodchippers.

This full-time, non-exempt role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving in variable weather. Training is provided; a driver’s license is preferred, and prior tree-work experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces while handling equipment.
• No fear of heights.
• Must have good hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trim and remove trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service required tools/equipment.
• Cut and split large debris into manageable pieces.
• Spray areas to prevent regrowth.
• Load/unload trucks.
• Feed brush & debris into a woodchipper.
• Relays signals, directs traffic, and operates trucks and equipment.
• Maintain and inspect tools and equipment.
• Keep work areas clean and safe.
