Job summary

Volusia County Schools’ BEFORE THE BELL (BTB) program at Southwestern Middle School seeks an experienced site supervisor to manage daily BTB operations and ensure a safe, engaging environment for 6-8 graders.

You will lead staff, coordinate volunteers, track attendance and expenses, communicate with parents and school personnel, and implement district policies while supporting constructive play and enrichment activities after school.

Qualifications

• Hold a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Experience in working effectively with and managing organized activities for children (volunteer or paid).
• Will successfully complete First Aid/CPR within the first year of employment.
• STAR training within one year of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the BTB program site.
• Implement district and BTB policies and procedures.
• Supervise staff, including recruitment, selection and training.
• Meet with staff regularly to discuss problem solving and discipline procedures.
• Maintain communication with parents, school personnel and district staff.
