Job summary

Volusia County Schools’ BEFORE THE BELL [BTB] program seeks a dedicated site staff member at Ormond Beach Middle School to enrich students' educational, emotional and physical well-being. The role calls for supervising groups of children, coordinating with volunteers, and following safety procedures, with required trainings such as CPR.

Applicants should hold a High School Diploma or GED and have experience working with children, along with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Hold a High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
• Experience in working effectively with and managing organized activities for children (volunteer or paid).
• Willingness to complete First Aid/CPR during first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain good communication with students, parents, school staff and Site Lead.
• Supervise and manage activities for students in grades 6-8 at Ormond Beach MS.
• Ensure proper supervision at all times and maintain a neat, safe learning environment.
• Coordinate activities with volunteers and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
