Job summary

Unitek Learning seeks a Full-Time BSN Nursing Instructor to join our Workforce Solutions team in Fresno, partnering with Community Health Systems. You will provide clinical, skills, and simulation education to students, coordinating rotations and ensuring outcomes align with program standards.

The ideal candidate holds CA BRN approval, a nursing Master’s (or in progress), and at least four years of direct patient care, with demonstrated teaching experience and expertise in key nursing areas.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, unencumbered California RN license.
• CA BRN approval for Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health, or Geriatrics.
• Master’s degree in nursing, education, or administration.
• BSN and enrolled in a Master’s program may be considered for Clinical Teaching Assistant.
• Minimum four years’ RN direct patient care experience, with last five years.
• One-year nursing education teaching experience preferred.
• Expertise in Mental Health, Medical-Surgical, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, L&D, Community Health, or Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical site, skills and simulation education.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences.
• Evaluate student performance against learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate student records and attendance.
• Provide timely feedback after observation of clinical events.
• Utilize online activities to enhance course content.
• Submit program reports to the Academic Site Director.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in committees.
