Job summary

Unitek College of Nursing is seeking a BSN Instructor for the Med Surg Clinical track. This full-time, campus-based role requires leadership in nursing education, supervision of clinicals, and collaboration with faculty to maintain high standards of the BSN program.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master of Nursing or higher, have at least four years of direct patient care RN experience, and possess recent clinical experience within the last five years. A teaching development program is provided.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, active RN license issued by the State Board.
• Master of Nursing or higher degree with coursework in nursing or education, administration.
• At least four years’ experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• A year of clinical experience within the last five years.
• Expertise in Medical Surgical nursing.
• No prior teaching experience required; Faculty Development training provided.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with instructors to prepare, administer, and grade examinations and evaluations.
• Assures attendance and submits grades.
• Assist with planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure program quality.
• Plan orientation for new faculty in theory and clinical facilities.
• Use adult learning principles in teaching; enhance content with online activities.
