Job summary

GAP Solutions is seeking a Viral Repository Manager to support IRF-Frederick operations for NIAID. The role oversees inventories of select agent samples in BSL-4 facilities and helps expand and maintain virus stocks for research.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS with specialized training in virology, molecular biology, serology, or immunology.
• Experience with Select Agent viruses.
• Recent BSL-4 experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of electronic and physical inventories of long-term select agent samples, including BSL-4 BSAT.
• Expand and maintain virus stocks to support IRF-Frederick research activities.
• Perform inactivation testing of new virus stocks and stock irradiation as requested.
• Provide support and back-up to the Biological Inventory Manager.
• Support mission priorities in a laboratory setting to complete research studies.
