Job summary

Ke`aki Technologies LLC seeks a Virology Principal Investigator to lead basic and applied research on current and emerging viral threats in support of biodefense and infectious disease programs. The PI will operate in BSL-3 and BSL-4 labs and must maintain BPRP status, supporting USAMRIID activities at Ft. Detrick, MD.

The role involves funding pursuits, collaborations, in vivo/in vitro evaluation of countermeasures, and yearly dissemination of findings through reports and scientific meetings.

Qualifications

• PhD required with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience drafting technical reports and manuscripts.

Responsibilities

• Seek funding from DTRA and USAMRIID to augment the research program.
• Coordinate in vivo and in vitro studies to evaluate medical countermeasures.
• Draft technical reports and manuscripts for publication each year; present work at scientific meetings.
