Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior BSA Governance Analyst is responsible for maintaining aspects of the Bank's BSA/AML compliance program and assists in meeting and maintaining BSA/AML compliance requirements. The role involves ensuring adherence to federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance related to Anti-Money Laundering, such as the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act, along with the Bank's policies to mitigate risk.

Responsibilities include applying expertise to develop and maintain BSA/AML/OFAC policies, performing risk assessments, maintaining training programs, and supporting regulatory examinations and audits.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Participate in executing BSA/AML and OFAC risk assessments to evaluate control effectiveness and residual risks, including data analysis and research.
2. Assist in implementing and maturing the Bank's enterprise-wide BSA/AML and OFAC training programs in line with regulations.
3. Gather and analyze data for risk and control self-assessments within the BSA department.
4. Assess responses to issues, identify gaps, and make recommendations.
5. Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure policies remain compliant.
6. Contribute to the development and updates of BSA/AML policies and procedures.
7. Prepare responses for audits, regulatory reviews, and committee presentations.

Additional Accountabilities

• Perform special projects and additional duties as required.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws and complete required training.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, business management, criminal justice, financial analysis, investigations, or compliance.
• At least 5 years of experience in a BSA/AML/OFAC role within a bank or financial institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACAMS Certification or CFCS.
