Job Summary

Pay Range: 73-117K

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior BSA Governance Analyst is responsible for maintaining certain aspects of the Bank's BSA/AML compliance program and assists in meeting and maintaining BSA/AML compliance requirements of the Bank. Complies with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act), as well as adhering to the Bank's policies and procedures to reduce risk to the Bank.

Responsible for applying subject matter expertise to assist with the development and maintenance of effective BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures, performing annual risk assessments, maintaining the BSA/AML/OFAC training program, and assisting with regulatory examinations and internal audit reviews.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Participate in executing BSA/AML and OFAC risk assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of controls, risk mitigation efforts, and residual risks. Compile and analyze data and conduct research as needed.
  2. Assist in implementing, maturing, and executing the Bank's enterprise-wide BSA/AML and OFAC training programs in accordance with FinCEN and FFIEC regulations and guidance.
  3. Gather and analyze data for BSA Department's risk and control self-assessments.
  4. Assess responses to self-identified issues to identify gaps and make recommendations.
  5. Stay informed on BSA/AML regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure policies and procedures meet industry standards.
  6. Contribute to the development and periodic update of all BSA/AML policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and guidance.
  7. Compile responses for internal audit reviews, regulatory examinations, and develop committee presentations.
Additional Accountabilities
  • Perform special projects and additional duties as required.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable laws and complete required compliance trainings.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent work experience in relevant fields such as Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Criminal Justice, Financial Analysis/Investigations, or Compliance.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a BSA/AML/OFAC role within a bank or financial services institution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ACAMS Certification or CFCS.
Job Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act regulations, with the ability to interpret and implement into policies and procedures.
  • Deep understanding of AML and OFAC compliance, industry best practices, and regulator expectations.
  • Knowledge of banking products, services, and core banking systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced computer literacy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to conduct research and draw conclusions.
