Job summary

United Bank is seeking a Deputy BSA Officer to assist in managing the Bank Secrecy Act program and related regulatory compliance functions. The role focuses on BSA/AML controls, OFAC screening, customer identification, and reporting to support the bank’s compliance posture.

The Deputy BSA Officer will supervise BSA staff, participate in cross-functional collaboration, and contribute to the bank’s goals by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant operations across BSA processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of banking experience required.
• Minimum ten years’ experience with BSA/AML experience required.
• Minimum five years of operating within a supervisory capacity.
• Expertise in database utilization.
• Certificates, Licenses and Registrations.
• Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, CAMS designation preferred.
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or other Financial Crimes / Risk Related Professional Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the BSA Officer in developing and improving the BSA/OFAC program, including procedures, controls, training, and risk assessments.
• Prepare for regulatory examinations, internal audits, and reporting.
• Research regulatory information from regulators and agencies and respond as needed.
• Manage sanction screening systems and AML monitoring system data validation and configuration.
• Provide M&A support to establish new procedures and oversee onboarding of new customers and BSA staff.
