Job summary

United Bank seeks a Deputy BSA Officer to assist the BSA Officer in managing the Bank Secrecy Act program, including AML, OFAC, and CIP compliance. The role involves regulatory reporting, QA reviews, staff supervision, and cross-functional collaboration to meet bank objectives.

The Deputy will help lead BSA/AML initiatives, monitor systems, respond to regulators, and ensure continuous improvement in controls and risk management across the department.

Qualifications

  • Minimum ten years of banking experience required.
  • Minimum ten years’ experience with BSA/AML experience required.
  • Minimum five years of operating within a supervisory capacity.
  • Expertise in database utilization.
  • Certificates, Licenses and Registrations.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation preferred.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or other Financial Crimes / Risk related certification.

Responsibilities

  • Development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the Bank’s BSA/OFAC Program including compliance, operational logistics, procedures, training, internal controls, risk assessments, and oversite of the BSA team.
  • Participates in regulatory BSA examinations, independent audits, and internal reporting.
  • Research regulatory and supervisory information requests from regulators, FinCEN, OFAC and other agencies.
  • Assist with managing sanction screening systems and AML Monitoring System ensuring adherence and data validation.
