Job summary

Famous Toastery is seeking a Kitchen Expo (Expediter) to serve as the crucial link between the kitchen and waitstaff. You will ensure freshly made meals are timed, plated, and delivered quickly to guests in a fast-paced brunch environment.

Key duties include coordinating tickets, inspecting dish quality, and maintaining an organized expo station while communicating guest needs and dietary modifications to the kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Ability to thrive in a high-volume brunch environment.
• Strong multitasking across tickets and orders.
• Excellent communication between kitchen and front-of-house.

Responsibilities

• Ticket management: read orders, pace the kitchen, guide cooks when to fire dishes.
• Quality control: ensure dishes meet standards, accurate mods and presentation before leaving the kitchen.
• Garnishing & plating: finalize dishes with garnishes and assemble sides or condiments.
• Bridge communication: relay guest requests, allergies, and timing updates between servers and cooks.
• Order dispatch: organize hot items for runners so a table’s items are served together.
• Station upkeep: keep expo pass clean, stocked, and ready with tools and garnishes.
