Job summary

The Mimosa House LLC is seeking a reliable Food Expediter (Expo) for our Rancho Cordova location. The Expo ensures accurate plating, smooth kitchen-to-guest delivery, and clear communication with kitchen and service teams.

This fast-paced role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm during brunch rushes. Weekend and holiday availability is required; morning daytime shifts from 7:00 AM–3:00 PM align with our breakfast and brunch service.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house team members.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the duration of the shift.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and service team.
• Check all dishes for accuracy, presentation, and completeness before they leave the kitchen.
• Ensure modifications, allergies, sides, and special requests are followed correctly.
• Organize completed orders by table and ticket.
• Communicate clearly with cooks, servers, and management.
• Assist with running food to tables when needed.
• Help maintain a clean and organized expo station.
• Stock plates, condiments, sauces, and other necessary items throughout the shift.
• Maintain a sense of urgency during high-volume periods.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company standards.
