Job summary

WSP USA is seeking Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project Engineers for our South Florida, Washington D.C., and Boston offices. You will design BRT projects from concept to construction and support project management, contract scope, schedule, and budget.

You may serve as Deputy Project Manager or discipline expert on larger programs, travel as needed, and help grow the business by building client relationships and supporting proposals. A PE license and 7–15 years of BRT experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline.
  • P.E. license with 7–15 years of experience in Bus Rapid Transit projects or equivalent.
  • Experience working with transit agencies and Departments of Transportation.
  • Demonstrated organizational and communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a designer on Bus Rapid Transit projects from concept to construction.
  • Provide technical support and project management on projects, with scope, schedule, and budget responsibility.
  • Support larger projects as Deputy Project Manager, Task Manager, Segment Manager or discipline expert.
  • Aid local offices pursuing or delivering transit projects with technical expertise, including travel opportunities.
  • Demonstrate skills to the industry through conference presentations and paper publication.
  • Assist in growing the business by building relationships, writing proposals, and providing business development support.
  • Management of technical staff.
