Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Bus Rapid Transit Project Engineer for our Boston, MA office as part of the national BRT team. You will design on BRT projects from concept to construction and contribute to technically challenging transit solutions.

Collaborate with clients and internal teams to plan, manage scope, schedule, and budget. Opportunities to travel, present at conferences, and support business development are available as you grow with our nationally recognized practice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline.
  • P.E. License with 7 to 15 years of experience in Bus Rapid Transit projects or equivalent.
  • Experience working with transit agencies and departments of transportation.
  • Demonstrated organizational and communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a designer on Bus Rapid Transit projects at all phases, from concept to construction.
  • Provide technical support and Project Management on projects or tasks with opportunity to grow, including contract negotiation and managing to a scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Support larger projects as a Deputy Project Manager, Task Manager, Segment Manager or discipline expert.
  • Aid local offices pursuing or delivering transit projects with technical expertise, including opportunities to travel.
  • Demonstrate your skills to the industry through conference presentations and paper publication.
  • Assist in growing the business by building relationships, writing marketing proposals and providing other business development support.
  • Management of technical staff.
