Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn is seeking a Technician II to join our Brooklyn IT team. The role supports end-user devices, desktops, printers, and LAN infrastructure in a fast-paced hospital environment, with on-site duties in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

You will troubleshoot hardware and software, document resolutions, provide user guidance, and collaborate with MCIT colleagues on projects. Minimum BA/BS and 2+ years related experience required; nights/weekends may apply.

Qualifications

Minimum BA/BS degree with 2+ years of related experience.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Experience supporting end-user devices, software, and hardware in a healthcare IT setting.

Responsibilities

Performs duties as assigned and participates in IT projects.
Maintains and supports End User Infrastructure equipment, software, and connectivity for PDAs, PCs, Macs, printers, LAN, AV, and video conferencing.
Provide Tier 2 assistance via phone and on-site, escalate to Tier 3 when necessary, and document resolutions.
Perform diagnostic checks on desktop computers to ensure security and performance.
Communicate technical information in a service-oriented, user-friendly manner.
Assist with documentation, ticket logging, and adherence to service levels.
