Job summary

NYU Langone Health in Brooklyn is seeking a Technician I to join our Structured Cabling team. The role coordinates day-to-day cabling requests (Patches, Moves, Adds and Changes) to meet service goals for the hospital and off-site locations, with visits to sites as needed to deliver timely, quality work.

You will log requests in our ITSM tool, coordinate with certified vendors, monitor BDF/IDFs health, maintain rack elevations, manage asset inventory, and support device access and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Resolve specified number of tickets per day using ITSM metrics.
• Coordinate cabling requests with vendors and assing requirements.
• Assist with monitoring and management of BDF/IDFs within hospital campuses.
• Maintain rack elevations and secure entries into Technology Rooms.
• Identify risks and escalate for remediation.
