Job summary

United Future in New York is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a Bronx-based school team. New grads are welcome, with duties centered on assessment, IEP development, therapy delivery, and collaboration with teachers, families, and other professionals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current New York licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA
• Strong understanding of child development and speech-language milestones
• Pediatric experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive evaluations using standardized tests and observations to identify and assess speech and language difficulties.
• Intervention Planning: Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) with specific goals, therapy strategies, and measurable outcomes tailored to each student.
• Therapy Delivery: Provide individual or group therapy using techniques like articulation drills, language stimulation, and play-based interventions.
• Collaboration & Consultation: Work with teachers, parents, and professionals to support student communication needs and overall development.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain progress records, write reports for IEP meetings, and communicate findings.
