Job summary

Bond Health Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for part-time/per-diem opportunities at group home residences in the Bronx. The RN will evaluate and monitor health and safety needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, promote wellness, and ensure nursing care complies with applicable regulations and policies.

Qualifications

• Active NY RN license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills essential.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical care for assigned individuals; monitor and arrange follow-up care.
• Assess health status through direct observation; document findings and changes.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and team members involved in services.
• Coordinate hospitalizations, ER visits, injuries, and other health concerns.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments to advocate and discuss health issues.
• Respond to urgent or emergent calls outside routine hours as needed.
• Attend meetings with management, families, and clinicians on health-related issues.
• Develop individual nursing plans and update as status changes.
• Supervise AMAP administration of prescribed medications and treatments; ensure compliance.
• Administer STAT medications; participate in in-services; train AMAPs; manage recertification processes.
