Job summary

Bond Health in the Bronx is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time position in a children’s residential setting. The RN will oversee nursing care, supervise LPNs, AMAPs and direct support professionals, and ensure compliance with NYS rules and company policies.

The role demands leadership, clear communication, teamwork, and on-call availability. You will develop care plans, coordinate health services, and train staff on nursing tasks and infection control.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NYS RN license.
• Managerial experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Independent judgment and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care as prescribed by the physician, following nursing standards and regulations.
• Supervise LPNs, AMAPs and staff in performing nursing tasks.
• Develop and update individualized nursing care plans annually or with significant changes.
• Coordinate acute and ongoing health services and communicate findings to clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes and documentation; ensure outcomes.
• Provide health education to clients and their support networks.
• Provide annual training to staff on nursing tasks and health measures.
• Train staff on medication administration and infection control.
• Interview candidates for RN/LPN positions with the Director of Nursing.
• On-call availability and supervision of LPN staff hours.
• Maintain training curriculums and post-training testing.
• Collaborate with IDT and interface with external providers via EHR.
