Job summary

Sagepoint Energy in Carmel, IN, is seeking a Manager of Brokerage Accounts to grow spot load volume and revenue by managing broker relationships and negotiating rates for Sagepoint's truck fleet.

You will coordinate with Dispatch and Operations to load trucks on profitable lanes, monitor load boards, and onboard brokers while maintaining data in the TMS and CRM. Strong negotiation and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in carrier sales, load planning, dispatch, or broker relationships.
• Proven record of increasing spot load volume and revenue per mile.
• Strong knowledge of truckload and LTL operations, routing, and hours-of-service rules.
• Proficient with a TMS, load boards and a CRM system.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data using Excel for lane and rate-per-mile analysis.

Responsibilities

• Grow spot load volume and revenue by managing broker relationships.
• Negotiate linehaul rates and accessorials to maximize margin.
• Coordinate with Dispatch and Operations to match loads and drivers.
• Monitor load boards and broker portals to win time-sensitive freight.
• Onboard brokers and maintain broker data in the TMS and CRM.
• Lead issue resolution with brokers and monitor payment terms.
