Job description

The Broker Sales Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of broker (third-party sales representatives) activities, aligning efforts to meet sales and profitability targets across broker-covered accounts. The role involves leading broker-wide communications to support commercial strategies that enable Newell to achieve best-in-class execution with broker-covered customers. Building relationships at all levels within broker teams and partnering with Newell Brands sales leaders, the manager facilitates broker performance and accountability, ensuring optimal broker capabilities for strengthened execution. The manager maintains strong connectivity with functions such as Sales Planning, Sales Operations, Finance, Commissions, and Master Data to ensure the use of best-in-class selling tools and alignment of internal systems with the latest broker contract coverage details. Delivering results with integrity and embodying the values of Newell Brands is essential.

Job Responsibilities :
  1. Manage multiple broker agency relationships, ensuring adequate coverage and performance alignment with expectations.
  2. Partner with Sales Planning for designated Business Units to provide expertise on go-to-market and seasonal selling materials for broker sales reps.
  3. Host broker-wide calls to deliver key selling materials and initiatives.
  4. Address gaps in the SharePoint site to ensure sales resources and tools are current, clear, and organized for brokers.
  5. Establish impactful annual KPIs and track metrics to drive broker accountability.
  6. Support broker scorecards and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  7. Manage ongoing broker changes, including contract renewals, amendments, system updates, and customer data updates, informing finance and shared services.
  8. Negotiate commission rates and service level obligations, leveraging coverage needs and enforcing documented obligations.
  9. Maintain accurate broker coverage details in the master database and SharePoint site.
  10. Execute monthly sales data reports for broker scorecards.
  11. Manage SharePoint site security and user access.
  12. Provide expertise on retail execution options and identify the best broker partners for specific retailers and projects.
Requirements :
  1. Bachelor’s degree or university-level education.
  2. Minimum of 5 years in sales, trade, or sales operations, preferably in the Consumer Products industry.
  3. Proven team player with a strong drive for results.
  4. Highly organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  5. Experience hosting large calls (50+ participants) and guiding discussions.
  6. Proficiency with syndicated data sources such as Nielsen and IRI.
  7. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly and effectively.
  10. Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  11. Conflict management skills, technical knowledge, and composure under pressure.
