Job summary

USI Insurance Services in Harrisburg is seeking an experienced broker services coordinator to manage a book of brokers and their business. You will coordinate day-to-day customer service and support the broker-Emerson Rogers relationship, acting as a liaison between carriers and brokers.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, answering carrier inquiries, processing plan changes and new business, and identifying cross-selling opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a group health insurance setting.
• Must hold Life & Health license or obtain within three months from date of hire.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a busy team environment.

Responsibilities

• Mentor internal staff on product and processes.
• Coordinate service with VIP Brokers and vendors; frequent contact with brokers.
• Resolve day-to-day service issues for brokers and vendors; assist with claims and billing.
• Respond to carrier/broker questions; ensure new business, renewals, and letters meet carrier requirements.
• Process plan changes, endorsements, and enrollment changes.
• Provide follow-up on plan changes and enrollment issues.
• Process new business applications; ensure quick and accurate installations.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities for other lines of coverage.
• Update client databases and maintain case files per workflows.
• Coordinate with team to meet service standards and ER expectations.
• Develop relationships with brokers, vendors, and internal staff; stay current on regulations and options.
