Job summary

USI Insurance Services is seeking a seasoned Operations Leader to manage a team of Team Leaders, Broker Consultants and Benefit Administrators within the General Agency division. You will drive service standards, staff development, and cross-functional collaboration with HR, Sales, and carrier partners to meet corporate goals.

The role requires extensive experience in group health insurance, a current Life, Accident & Health license, and a proven ability to lead, coach, and optimize processes in

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a group health insurance setting; supervisory experience preferred.
• Must hold a Life, Accident & Health license.
• Expert knowledge of products, services, market needs, and industry trends.
• In-depth knowledge of agency management system functionality, workflow procedures, underwriting, sales and service processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for day-to-day management of Team Leaders, Broker Consultants and Benefit Administrators.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to assigned team members.
• Promote USI culture in alignment with company mission.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure department service levels and efficiency.
• Define organizational structure in coordination with HR and recruiting.
• Escalate and resolve day-to-day service issues for brokers and vendors.
• Educate brokers on compliance topics including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and Health Care Reform.
• Process new business applications and policy changes for clients and brokers.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities for ancillary and worksite benefits.
