Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Commissions Manager to lead the broker commission function, ensuring accurate and timely payments. You will manage monthly cycles, address complex exceptions, and collaborate with Sales, Accounting, Finance, Billing, Operations, IT, and external vendors to optimize processes and controls.

You will drive readiness for system enhancements, oversee metrics and audits, and mentor a high-performing team while aligning with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field required; equivalent combinations may be considered.
• Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in commissions, finance operations, sales operations, accounting, or related field.
• At least two years of direct or functional leadership experience.
• Experience leading accountable, service-oriented teams and managing work priorities, deadlines, and capacity.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills; including formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations, reporting, and macros.

Responsibilities

• Lead the broker commissions team, establish priorities and service expectations, allocate work, and monitor performance.
• Own the end-to-end monthly commission payment cycle, including scheduled, out-of-cycle, expedited, bonus, and repayment transactions.
• Provide subject-matter leadership for commission calculations, payment plans, broker statements, true-ups, clawbacks, and net-negative balances.
• Direct the investigation and resolution of complex commission discrepancies with internal teams and external vendors.
• Establish and monitor reconciliations, variance reports, control reports, performance indicators, and broker financial-position analyses.
• Lead readiness activities for system enhancements, data migrations, product changes, and future-state commission processes.
