Job summary

FOX Sports is seeking a Systems Support Engineer to join the broadcast engineering team. You will ensure high availability of IT network infrastructure and core media production systems, focusing on IP multicast, ST 2110 workflows, and facility-wide documentation.

Qualifications

3+ years in a broadcast facility, live production environment, or media-focused IT role.
Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VRFs, DHCP, DNS, and non-blocking switch architectures.
Experience with IP Multicast (PIM, IGMPv2/v3) and SMPTE ST 2110 / AES67 / ST 2022-6/7, PTP (IEEE 1588).
Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro), Grass Valley Stratus / K2 storage, and live graphics systems (VizRT, Ross Xpression).

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize core broadcast network infrastructure for uncompressed video, audio, and metadata over IP.
Configure IGMP, PIM, and non-blocking multicast architectures; monitor QoS to prevent packet loss.
Document IP topologies, VLAN maps, subnet allocations, and plan facility migrations.
Provide Tier-2/3 support for post-production, ingest, and live graphics systems.
Support editing suites with Adobe CC connected to shared storage; assist on-call during events.
Maintain Grass Valley Stratus ingest workflows, asset management, and playback servers.
Support real-time graphics systems (VizRT, Ross Xpression) and related software/hardware.
Diagnose glitches and bottlenecks to keep production schedules moving.
