Job summary

FOX Sports is seeking a Systems Support Engineer to join its broadcast engineering team in Chicago. You will ensure high availability of IT network infrastructure and core media production systems, focusing on IP multicast, ST 2110, and facility-wide documentation, while supporting editors, operators, and production staff.

You will maintain network architectures, perform migrations, create SOPs, and provide tier-2/3 support during live events, with on-call rotation and a strong customer-service

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a broadcast facility, live production, or media IT role.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VRFs, DHCP, DNS, and non-blocking switch architectures.
• Experience with IP Multicast (PIM, IGMP) and SMPTE ST 2110 / AES67 / PTP.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize the core broadcast network for uncompressed video/audio over IP.
• Document IP schemes, VLAN maps, subnet allocations, and multicast addresses.
• Plan facility upgrades and migrations (e.g., ST 2110 transitions, switch replacements).
• Provide tier-2/3 support for post-production, ingest, and live graphics systems.
• Support live events with on-call rotations and proactive customer service.
