Job summary

Weigel Broadcasting Co., based in Chicago, IL, seeks a detail-oriented Master Control Operator to join the Master Control Team. You will set up, operate and control broadcast equipment and ensure smooth transmission of programs and commercials.

The role requires hands-on experience with television equipment, automation systems and video servers, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in broadcast or video production.
• Proficient with television equipment operation and automation systems.
• Ability to handle live on-air switching and scheduling under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and control television broadcast equipment.
• Monitor equipment to transmit programs and commercials.
• Perform on-air switching, dubbing, and transferring programs.
• Manage satellite feeds for broadcast use.
• Support live or taped newscasts and other programming.
