Job summary

Lightcurve is seeking a Broadband Technician I to install, test, and repair telecommunication services for residential and commercial customers from Tacoma, WA, with on-site and occasional travel to service areas. You will work both indoors and outdoors, possess a valid driver’s license, and participate in on-call rotations.

The role requires entry-level training completion, safety compliance, and ability to educate customers on service usage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• CPR/First Aid training within first year.
• Flagger training within first two years as scheduled by supervisor.
• Pass background and pre-employment drug screening.
• NCTI/Jones, TIA, WA state low voltage license, or relevant certifications.
• Basic knowledge of internal systems within 3 months; proficiency within 6 months.
• Ability to take trouble calls and respond effectively while on call.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and repair telecommunication and broadband services for residential and commercial customers.
• Demonstrate and educate customers on Lightcurve services.
• Analyze quality and determine acceptability of services delivered after installation.
• Remain on call during scheduled periods and respond to calls as needed.
• Operate and maintain assigned vehicle with necessary equipment.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation on network specifics and changes.
• Stay updated on industry trends and safety guidelines.
