Job summary

Mediacom Communications is seeking a Broadband Specialist I to perform on-site installations of cable TV and broadband services. You will travel in a company vehicle, work inside customer homes, and handle installation changes, outlet additions, and service upgrades while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting signal quality, using tools, and providing a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to interact and communicate with customers and co-workers.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• General mechanical knowledge and comfort with tools and home installations.
• Flexible work hours including evenings, weekends, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Make customer drop installations exterior and interior from tap to terminals.
• Perform new connects, reconnects, disconnects, add outlets, and outage handling.
• Analyze picture quality after installation and ensure service meets standards.
• Read signal levels and use field strength meters during installations.
• Drive company vehicle and perform vehicle upkeep and safety checks.
• Complete paperwork as required by management.
• Assist other teammates and support sales efforts when possible.
