Job summary

Emmi Roth is seeking a Brine Team Member to monitor brine solutions, time cheese, and maintain brine logs in a production setting. You will help ensure brat brining targets are met while following strict sanitation and safety protocols.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced cheese manufacturing environment with regular equipment operation and record-keeping responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a cheese making or food manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Basic computer skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.
• Ability to work overtime or extend shifts as needed.
• Ability to work with automated equipment
• History of good attendance
• Good organization and problem-solving skills
• No travel required

Responsibilities

• Monitor the brining solution, times the cheese for proper brining, and maintain brine logs.
• Ensure cheese is placed into the brine after the acidification stage.
• Monitor the salinity, temperature, and pH level of the brine and take corrective action to maintain target levels.
• Maintain cleanliness of tanks and brine room.
• Keep accurate records of cheese brining.
• Adheres to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Form and brine cheese according to the daily recipe.
• Flip cheese to ensure even knitting of curd.
