Heart of Los Angeles is seeking a Bridges Tutor to support youth ages 10–18 with homework and projects, providing academic guidance to improve performance across subjects. The role promotes discipline and encourages students to complete assignments and engage deeply with class work.

HOURS: Part-Time; 8 hours a week (M-T 4:30 to 6:30) for 44 weeks/year. Hours are subject to change with academic calendar and/or program needs.

The Bridges Tutor will support youth ages 10–18 with school assignments and special projects, providing academic guidance and resources to help students succeed. This role fosters academic discipline and encourages student commitment to improving homework completion and overall performance across school subjects.
This is a nonexempt position and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. Employees must accurately record all time worked and follow Heart of LA’s timekeeping and overtime-authorization procedures.
This position requires availability to support Heart of LA programming and organizational needs. Regular work includes later hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The position may also require occasional schedule adjustments, evenings, or weekends based on program activities, events, participant needs, and organizational priorities. All work time and scheduling will be administered in accordance with applicable law.
