Heart of Los Angeles is seeking a part-time Bridges Math and Science Tutor to support youth ages 10–18 with schoolwork and projects. You will guide students in math and science, helping with homework and assignments while promoting discipline and commitment to learning.

The role requires a college student with strong English/Math coursework, plus bilingual abilities (English/Spanish preferred). Commitment to a nurturing, inclusive program is essential, with occasional schedule flexibility.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a college degree with college-level English and Math coursework (grade B or higher).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Experience with middle/high school youth; ability to mentor and model positive behavior.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; professional tone.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate small groups and one-on-one math or science sessions for students needing help.
• Check and ensure homework completion.
• Be punctual and supportive to promote a positive learning environment.
• Support after-school programming and adapt to calendar/needs.
