Job summary

Branch Civil is seeking a Bridge/Structures Foreman to provide direct in-field supervision of a bridge & structures crew on heavy highway projects. The foreman is the site safety lead, coordinating with the Structures Superintendent to ensure quality workmanship per Branch Builds, Inc.

standards. The role requires 3+ years managing a crew in heavy civil/bridge construction and 5+ years in related work, plus OSHA 10 certification and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years managing a crew in heavy highway/bridge construction.
• 5+ years in heavy civil/structures construction.
• Familiar with construction specifications, means and methods.
• Experience with DOT and/or Federal projects.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license and Branch Fleet policy compliance.
• Hands-on experience with pile driving and concrete work.
• Knowledge of bridge construction equipment and forming systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the crew and maintains professional relations with Owner, Engineer, and team.
• Plans and executes work per supervisor’s directions and project goals.
• Coordinates with Superintendent on work plans and resource needs.
• Manages material storage, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Ensures safety and OSHA compliance on site; participates in safety programs.
• Assists in preparing daily and weekly reports and coordination notes.
• Ensures quality control and contract compliance of grading activity under supervision.
• Leads safety meetings and promotes a safe work environment.
