Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to obtain CDL and DOT medical card within 11 months of employment.
• Experience or training in carpentry, welding or concrete placement preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor and safe operation of equipment.
• Familiarity with highway and bridge maintenance methods.
• Must be able to work at heights and in adverse conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform a combination of skilled tasks including carpentry, welding and concrete finishing.
• Remove and install structural components to erect, replace or demolish structures.
• Place temporary bridges and manage emergency operations.
• Operate light and medium-duty highway equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Apply environmental protection measures during construction activities.
• Maintain tool and equipment safety and cleanliness.
