Job summary

AECOM's Greater Pennsylvania Area Bridge Engineering Practice is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a passion for bridge design. This role supports a diverse range of local and North American projects and offers mentorship and career development within a well-established team.

The position requires a Civil Engineering degree with a focus on structures, a PE license, and strong CAD/FEA skills. It is a hybrid role with two days in one of our offices and the rest remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with structures focus and four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• Professional Engineering License (PE)
• Valid U.S. Driver's License; must pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and detailed final design of new bridges and other transportation structures.
• Analysis and rehabilitation design of existing bridges.
• Use of computer software for the analysis and design of bridges and other structures.
• Preparation and/or quality review checking of technical reports, design calculations, and structural plans.
• Preparation and/or quality review checking of technical specifications and construction cost estimates.
• Working both independently and with groups toward development of structural design documents and contract deliverables.
• QA/QC procedures to ensure technical quality of deliverables and responding to client comments.
• Training, mentoring and helping to develop junior structural engineering staff; and
• Structural-related project task management.
