Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson seeks a civil/bridge engineer to design and coordinate assignments, applying general engineering principles. The role requires 2–6 years in bridge design, ABET-accredited degree with a structural focus, and an Engineer-in-Training certification.

Immigration sponsorship is not available except TN visa eligibility. Proficiency with LEAP, LPile, MDX, CSiBridge, Merlin DASH, and MicroStation/OpenRoads is expected, along with strong communication skills and MS Office

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with ABET accreditation and a structural concentration.
2–6 years of experience in bridge design or related field.
Engineer-in-training (EIT) certification.

Responsibilities

Assist with alternative studies.
Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to complete a task.
Performs structural analysis and design computations.
Assist in designing projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools.
Assist with developing the project quantities for construction cost estimate.
May perform CADD work in the development of construction plans, as needed.
Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction.
