Job summary

V3 Companies seeks a Bridge Structural Engineer to contribute to career-defining projects across North America. You will join our Structural team and collaborate with 450+ designers, engineers, and scientists to design bridges, perform analyses, load ratings, and prepare specifications.

The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree (ABET) with 4–8 years' bridge experience. Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenBridge tools is preferred; EIT required; PE/SE a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET accredited university.
• 4–8 years of bridge design, analysis, load rating, and inspection experience.
• Experience with DOT/state/local clients.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, AREMA, IDOT and ISTHA design standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings, including 3D bridge modeling.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations.
• Perform bridge inspection and load ratings.
• Perform quantity and cost estimate calculations.
• Prepare construction specifications.
• Collaborate with other V3 disciplines on multi-faceted projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.
