Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks Construction Inspectors to join our Ohio team, focusing on bridges, roads, and related infrastructure projects. You will perform daily field inspections, document progress, and ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety standards.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 5 years of field experience, and ODOT certifications; proficiency with SiteManager/ProjectWise is a plus. We value teamwork, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple sites.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Five (5) years of field experience in bridge/road construction and related inspections preferred.
All applicable ODOT certifications.
Experience with ODOT documentation, inspection reports, and use of Field Manager/Field Book.
Knowledge of AASHTO, FHWA, and ODOT standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform daily field inspections and observations for heavy highway and bridge projects.
Measure, compute, record, and maintain contract quantities for contractor payment.
Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and standards.
Conduct material sampling and testing per project standards.
Ensure contractor work/materials meet required standards and specs.
Document daily progress, conformance, quantities, and extra work.
Enter progress and documentation into SiteManager and ProjectWise.
Identify issues and communicate with project managers and contractors.
Identify, assess, and communicate unsafe conditions on site.
