Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Prior experience in performing construction inspection.
• Must be physically capable and willing to work outdoors.
• Work Contractor hours, may include nights and weekends.
• One or more of the following current certifications: ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician and/or Concrete Construction Technology / Special Inspector; NJSAT Asphalt Technician Certification (preferred); Rutgers TCC (Traffic Control Coordinator) Certification (preferred); Hot Mix Asphalt Density Testing Inspector / NETTCP HMA Plant Technician; OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety and Health Training.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project Resident Engineer with project administration.
• Complete daily reports, quantity calculations, and reports for construction work observed.
• Perform daily construction inspections, including material sampling and field testing of concrete per ASTM, and in-place density tests of asphalt or soil.
