Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Project Manager I – Engineering to manage one or more projects from scope through delivery, ensuring quality, on time and on budget. You will lead project teams, coordinate with clients and internal partners, and drive proposals and staffing decisions to meet objectives.

You’ll bring a Bachelor’s in Engineering with years of experience, lead risk and change management, and partner with senior staff to deliver on HNTB’s 4 for 4 performance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience; 2 years task management or Deputy PM experience.
• Willingness to lead a project team on small to mid-size projects and coordinate with subconsultants as needed.
• Experience with proposals, contracts, and client communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope and fee quotation and assist in technical proposals and contracts.
• Act as primary client liaison and manage the project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Assist with client scoping and contract negotiations.
• Perform technical tasks including analysis, design, reports, and production for assigned projects.
• Lead development and execution of the project management plan.
• Mentor staff and coordinate staffing plans, performance reviews, and succession.
• Support business development and client relationships for strategic projects.
